Cancer Poems: “PROSTATE WITH GRIEF”

Damn the weakness of my urine flow

Damn the number of times I have to go

To the toilet in the middle of the night

Willing my knackered hose with all my might

In fact there’s absolutely no point at all

In returning to bed before I fall

Asleep in the bathroom slumped on the pan

A very stark warning to any young man

So enjoy it while you can drinking ten pints a night

And pissing over walls and out of sight

Cancer Poems: “GETTING EVEN WITH CANCER”

Cancer Poems: "Getting Even With Cancer"

I’m going to give you cancer

You bastard of the night

Trapping me in a coal mind

With black the brightest light

You book into my life hotel

Condemning me to your death cell

Daring to malign my sacrosanctity

Yes YOU you ******* profanity

Salivating over my a-la-carte

Chewing over where next to start

Well time’s up my cancer

Retribution is  here

FEEL, FEEL, FEEL the FEAR

I’m going to give my cancer cancer

To show it what it’s like

And if I get bloody lucky

And FIGHT and FIGHT and FIGHT
